Motion Computing and Healthphone Partner to Bring Wound Care to Clinical Tablet PCs
Healthphone Solutions today announced they have been selected by Motion Computing, Inc. as a partner in their Independent Software Vendor (ISV) alliance program. This alliance forms the cornerstone of Healthphone’s US channel market strategy, and supports both companies’ goals of increasing productivity for mobile healthcare workers and enabling better patient outcomes.
In Canada, Healthphone has partnered with telecommunications giant TELUS to deliver home and community-based applications including Mobile Wound Care. This partnership equips front line care providers with Motion’s tablet PCs making it possible for them to access and update wound care visit forms, take color digital photos of wounds, and transmit information real time from the point of care to wound specialists. Victorian Order of Nurses (VON) Canada, a leading provider of home and community care, is currently implementing Mobile Wound Care on a number of C5 devices as part of a pilot project in its North Bay, Ontario branch.
